Love painting at the Grand Canyon. Found this nice little spot tucked away on the side of the cliff… just feet away from all the tourists but they couldn’t see me. It was fortunate because it can be quite difficult to paint with lots of people wanting to talk to you!

Thanks Lasko! It definitely takes some practice but you’ll get the hang of it. Just get outside and paint as much as possible and don’t worry about whether it’s good or not. The brush miles are what’s important!

I painted about half of this on location, focusing on color and value relationships and then finished it in the studio.
