4️⃣ To appeal to Gen Z and the Alpha’s, brands will create new product and service segments and continue to be extremely bold (think Ocean Spray Cranberries and Dunkin') with their campaigns - and it’ll work.
3️⃣ Nostalgia will be an important sentiment, especially for the Gen X and Millennial audiences, and we will get the return of more nostalgic players (we’ve seen this with the rise of Lindsey Lohan, N*sync, Christina Aguilera, and JoJo this year).
2️⃣ In response to this, we’ll see an increase in news coverage on social media and see traditional media outlets bring in creators as guests to appeal to their audience. As people start to get more and more news from social media, we’ll see news happen faster and even more misinformation.
Here’s what I think we’ll see as Marketing, Communications, and Media trends in 2025:
1️⃣ Mainstream media will continue to lose their viewers and subscribers to creators, podcasts, social media, and substacks in particular.
