Mi iam renkontis homon kiuj plendis ke ĉiuj diras ke Esperantistoj estas treege toleremaj... sed kiam li iris al la Londona klubo kaj anoncis ke li estas faŝisto, neniu plu emis toleri lin :) Estas interesa temo, ĉar se Esperanto ja estas ĉies propraĵo, ankaŭ faŝistoj rajtas uzi ĝin.

There were some complications re collecting money which the mods tried to circumvent in 2018/19 by setting a UK charity. I worked on the application with Bluepaint but we got rejected and I don't know what was decided after that.

Yes, agreed. It's inevitable when people do things as volunteers that real life gets in the way sometimes and their priorities change. Happens a lot with Esperanto stuff! But it's so much better when people just come out and say they can't/won't do XYZ any more rather than vanishing.

I must admit I don't understand why none of the mods were able to contact emk if they had his details. It's clear he attempted to solve the problem straightaway once he knew about it, whatever has gone wrong now. If the forum is going to continue it needs a few people involved who are more engaged!

I'm getting a 503 error now. No idea what that means (maybe that someone is doing something?) but it makes a change from 504 at least 😀

Yes, this is the only reason I keep trying to log in! If I don't have the pressure I've created for myself to update my log then there's a genuine chance I just give up on learning Turkish, for example.

I feel a bit bad complaining when I know everyone is working voluntarily... but the errors are so frustrating! I don't think any of us would mind so much if we thought it was all under control, but it feels like it probably isn't. Maybe it is time to give up.
