@bsky.app Could we please have mute reposts by user, and maybe the ability to remove followers without a full block?
There’s a reason Jane Smiley said “if you want to write, keep your overhead low.”
Books aren’t free!
Which did you choose?
Yes, that’s such a great point. I read to encounter new ideas or new ways of looking at the old ideas I’ve carried around with me.
We’ve been applying the facepalm incorrectly.
We need a faster way to 25th dementia-riddled presidents and maybe age limits too.
Good morning, USA. Anyone else hoping we’re liberated soon?
Ugh.
Jeff’s designs for Stanchion are always breathtaking. He has such an eye!
That sounds like a wonderful one!
It’s odd, isn’t it? First has its time and place, but insisting on it exclusively? Dopey is a great word for it!
What’s your favorite? I used to read everything but romance. But the older I get, the less I’m into genre fiction.
Oh that foot guy was wild. I saw him in your comments last night and preemptively blocked. 🦶
Oh ouch.
Huh. I’m lying in bed reading Stanchion and wishing I had ice cream. Small world.
Not Girl Orn… whatever that difficult spelling was yesterday?
Reading The Correspondent currently. Think I’ll go for Dominion next and keep going until I’ve read them all.
All of them. 💚
Think about Nabokov’s “Pale Fire” or Danielewski’s “House of Leaves” or Woolf’s stream of consciousness. There are no rules if what you’re doing captivates.
Be true to your story, even if that means tearing up the rulebook. Make it work.
I figured you didn’t have your glasses on. 😂

The need to start ass kicking is growing unbearable.
GenX here and I’m having flashbacks. Not the good kind.
I’ll never unhear this.
I don’t. 😂
The woman they’re quoting literally says seeks “dumbed down” books with “burning enemies-to-lovers arcs, especially those that lean on fantasy tropes.”
This isn’t someone actually reads. This is someone who whiffles pages to look smart without putting in the work.
She’s not your audience. Write.
