Itβs a good post, and also pretty depressing given that state of things. Thanks for writing it.

This piece has been coming for a while, in one form or another. Makes me deeply unhappy to write it. mattgemmell.scot/the-fallen-a...
A one-day slowdown is irritating. A one-month slump is terrifying.
With support for abolishing ICE growing and a bipartisan backlash prompting Trump to at least feign a more conciliatory approach in Minnesota, this is the moment to exert pressure. bit.ly/4aoo0an
This is not normal. Business as usual cannot continue. But what that means, exactly, is up to us.

Great post. I will start βacting differentβ by not buying any Apple products going forward. I usually spend a lot of money on Apple gear every year. No more. I know itβs kind of lame, but itβs concrete for me. I know there is more to do, but itβs a start for me.

The killings by federal agents of RenΓ©e Good and Alex Pretti took place less than 20 minutes from Patagoniaβs St. Paul store, a location thatβs been part of the community for 21 years.

So much respect for you. Thank you for this!
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. Itβs dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Congrats! Will check it out, for sure.
An ad from Google from 1999, featuring a simple search engine interface with a search bar labeled "Google Search" and a button labeled "I'm feeling lucky." Below the interface, there is a description stating that Google is a pure search engine with no distractions, ads, or links to sponsors.

Iβm sorry for the long post but a lot of you have followed me for a long time, since 2016 when I was one of the first to repeatedly call out Trump for being a Russian asset.
I donβt know how else to say this, as a person who has studied cults (wrote a bestseller about it) and totalitarian states.
I hate not having a job. I just want to make cool apps. If you need an #iOS or #macOS developer, I've been doing this since 2008. I worked at Apple on the Reminders app, and I've got lots of #SwiftUI and #Swift experience. I'm really quite the catch.
Great session! Thank you.
But not when running Xcode/Simulator on Sequoia? If so, thatβs a bummer. Iβve only got one Mac and donβt want to put Tahoe on it. A VM doesnβt seem to work for Apple Intelligence. I guess Iβll need to either buy a βtestβ Mac or just wait.
Hey devs, how do you handle macOS betas? Two separate machines? VMs? How do you keep things synced up?
I have one Mac and have set up a VM for Tahoe. But it doesnβt support everything. Thinking about a Mini for testing, but hate the idea of managing two machines.
Any advice?

Well, you *can* run Tahoe in a VM on Sequoia, but unfortunately Apple Intelligence doesnβt work in the VM, and therefore neither will the new LLM tools in Xcode. Maybe Iβm missing something.
Great to know! Thanks.
Any idea if macOS 26 can run in a VM on macOS 15? (I will try later, just wondered if youβd tried). I only have one Mac and wonβt put this early beta in it, but would love to try out the new ChatGPT stuff in Xcode!
While I laud the Swift teamβs desire to make concurrency easier and more understandable, right now I just see more @ attributes, settings, and changes that I donβt fully grok. Iβm sure after some time and use it will all make sense. Anyway, your posts have really helped me and I appreciate them.
Ok, let's try a thing! I'm going to do an a hour-long live QA/discussion on Swift Concurrency on March 1.
Come, hang out, and let's learn some stuff together. I think it could be fun!

Where has BBEdit been all my life?
This was a hard one. But we, as developers for Apple platforms and as humans, have a responsibility to respond.

God I hope not!
I actually saw one being used on a plane last week! First time Iβve seen one in public.
So glad youβre here, Dan!
This has come up multiple times just today, so I'd like to remind you that there is a Swift 6 migration guide up on Swift.org.
Lots of theory, examples, and common issues. And! It is itself a package with examples in executable form. You should check it out!
