As an African American writer, she believes her purpose is to tell the stories of people she grew up with. “For years, I have read characters that do not look anything like me or anyone around me,” she shares. Through her writing, she hopes to show that people are more alike than different. (4/8)

Naturally gravitating towards “dark and graphic” writing, Rhonda wrote in secret until 2009, scribbling stories during her work commute and at her cubicle. After a life-changing divorce, she moved to Atlanta where she resolved to focus on her craft. (2/8)
