People joke about creatives having like 30 different projects at a time but I find it helps me so much with burnout. I struggle a lot to stick to one thing for long periods (3 months+) but switching lets me start working on entirely "new" problems that make it feel fresh again

This sounds like someone took a strictly academic concept and thought it applied to everything. In academics it actually is important because you need to list your references properly, yourself included if you're using your past works. For art this makes zero sense, it's iterative by its nature
