Thanks Bryan, that image is my favourite, and definitely the showstopper of the whole series.

Great book, I recently reordered it as my original copy was lost during moving sadly. I am looking forward to diving back into and seeing how it resonates with me now as a few years have gone by since last reading it.

I made two 8×10 prints on Canon Matte Paper for fun of my Katy Trail images.

The Katy Trail is the only rail trail I have been on, it ran through the town my wife is from, and I got to experience it several times while visiting her family. I highly recommend it, I enjoyed my time on it 😀

That sounds like a great book in the works!

Two pen & ink drawings and two paintings from the Isle of Iona - cottage with fishing nets, lichen covered rocks at the north end, the village with ferrry at the jetty and a rock study from Port Ban.

My elderly dad has been visiting the Isle of Iona regualrly for over 50 years (as have I!) - we're currently working together to release a small book of his painting & ink drawings from the island.

I didn't want the image to dictate the markings so I did it in reverse. The square image was done after I made the image arrangement in Canva and printed and I think the difference shows between the image dictating a direction vs the freeform of the lines drawn without an image in mind.

It was very satisfying to do! I started out by just drawing lines on a piece of 4×6 paper and then relied on chance and visualization to see how they would work when printed on with an image.

Lines on paper. Playing around with prints. Chance markings. Sharpie grids.

Curiosity. Play. Fun.
