Last night's awards show was three and a half hours long. There were 30 awards. Half of them were lightning rounds (no presentations or acceptance). The acceptances we did have came to about 16 minutes (under 8% of the total runtime)

I know that people are going to be so torn on this, but I genuinely think it’s fantastic to see a damn good family game win Game of the Year instead of another lore filled fantasy action RPG.

This is now the second year in a row where the Innovation in Accessibility award was relegated to the preshow. Very disappointed in The Game Awards. To go from the main stage for three years to the side is something that will forever leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

First Game Awards I’ve not covered in a good while. Feels weird to be watching as a punter for once!

As someone who consumes a ton of YouTube content, it drives me up the wall that so many YouTubers feel almost obligated to take potshots at games journalists. “Can you believe IGN finally gave Sonic a good score? Not that IGN has any credibility!” Then why bring them up if they’re so irrelevant?

Just read this, loved it! Especially the line about making as progress in small moments as much as big ones.

Easy to get caught in the separate rat race of video game releases these days, think this is a fantastic introspection 🙏
