Just remembering how Luxon bought a new Tesla EV when there was a Clean Car Discount, then cancelled the policy so others couldn't do it, and is now canning the Clean Car Standards and adding a new tax to petrol.
What a guy.

A gray shorthair cat at the moment of release upside down, with its tongue out looking derpy
A new paper on falling cat science came out and I just have to draw people's attention to this image
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed
So we've heard from Seymour, wanting to sell Air NZ, and Winston Peters, wanting to keep it. I wonder if they could find someone who used to run an airline to comment on the matter? #nzpol
A green tuktuk coffee cart, a horse and a yellow fire truck lined up along the edge of the beach
A few folks, I clouding kids, sitting on the rocks and standing about on the pavement, chatting, next to the horse, cart and truck
My favourite pictures from the weekend. A bit of horse and cart action! We took the fire truck down to the coffee cart on the beach for a spot of recruiting and fire safety awareness. Someone also brought a horse and gave the kids rides up and down the beach. Glenduan NZ
Clawed, Ginny (ginger), Weasley (HP gingers), Smudge, Twinkle-paws (Twink for short)
The daughter in Wellington is hunkering down and watching the spray from the sea, likely containing poo, blowing sideways and hitting all the houses. They're calling it a shartnado 😆
Stay safe. My lass in Welly says not many braving the trip into work today. Hope it settles down soon
My lass in Newtown says lots of folk staying home and not going in to work until it calms down. Many reports of roofs lifting and trees down in Wellington atm so stay safe folks!
It might be your roof lifting. If it is, those firey could help
Luxon bypassing even his own fast track process... what a scam.. #nzpol

What is te reo for 'Where do you usually go?'
A big rainbow going from land to sea. Seen a ross the tops of trees.
Cool view from the deck this morning. A beautiful rainbow 🌈 one end lands where the old Aretere ferry is still mored up, the other end in the sewage plant. Perhaps a divine commentary on this govts handling of the new ferries? Who knows... Nelson, NZ
A wasp nest about the size of a golf ball in a corner between the railing and a post. It's been sprayed so there's a patch of whitish on where the nest is and all over the pile of dead wasps underneath
Because life needs balance, as I sipped I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye and got a whip-lash change in mood as I saw a heap of wasps crawling over and out of this nest. An orgy of death ensued once I got my hands on a spray can. I'm vegan but these guys can get in the bin.
A g+t on a wooden railing of a first floor deck with an orange sunset and sea viewed beyond and through the glass.
Phew! That was Friday. I'm now on holiday, yay! I'll never get sick of this view. Glenduan Beach NZ
I'm so sorry 😔
Nail marks in mushrooms at the supermarket. I carefully inspect each one before it goes in the bag. Who knows what could have been under those nails, and no way to wash it off now it's INSIDE THE MUSHOOM!
Missed this a few days ago … so here for this.

OMG THAT LAST LINE.
1,000/10 no notes needed. A++++ would cackle ridiculously again.
Anyone can try this beer-related art challenge. Deconstruct ONE aluminium beer can to make a miniature chair, which must fit within the can from which it was constructed. First prize $3,000! Entries in by 1st March. Prize giving in Nelson NZ. Last year drew 50 entries nationwide! See link for rules
NZ taxpayers spent $6M to bring Michelin stars here and only paid $3M to the WHO.
Contributing to world health seems like a much better spend to me. #nzpol
Aaaargh! Nearly lost my streak!

Not as hot as you might think. Sweeter than expected with a slightly spicy afterglow. This distillery has many flavours, including lychee, and strawberry and rhubarb if you like them fruity. They also do tastings of you drop in.
A bottle of Dancing Sands Wasabi Gin next to a tall g&t with lemon and ice
From above, a tabby cat with a white belly and paws, completely zonked, lying sideways in the sunshine on a wooden deck
Finishing the weekend sitting in the sun with a local wasabi gin after a busy weekend. I've been hosting a band from Wellington for a couple of days (go see Krakerjack, they're awesome!), and a then doing a spot spot of gardening. It's feeling summery again here in Nelson NZ
Lined up on a kitchen worktop, from left to right; a packet of 'Tasti' dark chocolate dipped peaches, a glass of dark beer, the tin the beer was poured from, being a Garage Project Brown Kiwi dark ale. 😋
On my own this week and I'm crap at cooking for one. Dinner was a few chips at the pub, cashew cheese and crackers, and cracked this one open for dessert. Btw these new choc-dipped peaches are dangerous (They're vegan too!)
This is Kevin. He's a reactive dog getting some training to be more comfortable. His trainer brought him to a pet store for some socialization where they learned he is no longer reactive when given a giant stuffed dinosaur. 14/10 (TT: katieandtatesfostermates)
I'm now quite scared of them 😆
A friend once told me they'll run away if they think you're a bigger goose. They then demonstrated by holding up one arm above their head, making their hand into a goose head shape, flapped the other arm & honked. One day our path was blocked by a gaggle so I tried it. They got angry & attacked me!
This fella was hanging out by the front door at work. Work is right next to a very busy roundabout on an industrial estate in Nelson NZ. Nature finds a way I guess. He/she was super cute 😍
