I had to say goodbye to my best friend today. his platelets were destroying themselves and treatment would only prolong his pain.
Bogart was a special kitty who was endlessly kind, patient, and loving. I'm thankful for the nearly 10 years of his 14 on this earth that I had with my special guy.

Thank you Dee. They're going to watch him for a few hours but he is not hemorrhaging, which was the scariest option. He's got a low platelet count and his body temp is low, but he's awake enough to stubbornly refuse the heated bed at the vet.

I'm probably not going to be able to open commissions until at least later this week. I was up all night with him Friday and my bf thinks I'm getting actually sick from how stressed I've been (thank you OCD). I'm doing my best but I'm exhausted. I just want him to live.

Bogart is home safe!! While he is woozy and drooling, he is settled in. I'm going to try and nap soon so that between my bf and I someone can be watching him for 24 hours. Thank you to everyone who reached out or contributed to my ko-fi. I'm so relieved he is alive and your kindness kept me going.

Little man is getting his splenectomy right now. The vet said he's been an angel. I gave him my stuffed badger to keep him company, and the vet sent me this photo. Everyone who's reached out, you have my profound gratitude.

My 14-year-old cat Bogart went for his annual yesterday and they found a mass that could be cancerous. He's going back for an ultrasound to determine if he needs a splenectomy. Please keep him in your thoughts today, he's the sweetest kitty in the world and my best friend.
