Like, if I save something to my desktop I want it to actually be there, not act as a link to some version of it in some fucking cloud storage I won't be able to reach offline

That's the entire point of saving things to my PC, as opposed to seeking out a cloud service specifically to store something

Idk about using it for work but as someone with a desktop pc at home who didn't know what the hell it was or that it was turned on by default; it was extremely alarming & annoying to have to suddenly jump through hoops to make sure the files I was saving on my computer were actually physically there
