We had a pig running around our school playground after it escaped the slaughterhouse at the adjacent butchers. One of two school lockdowns I vaguely recall, the other being when builders found a grenade at a house opposite that turned out to be a moneybox

as a followup the flooding broke a 2 month old dishwasher. due to Christmas it took ages for a nice man to come around & confirm that what I thought would fix it, just needed to be a little bit more vigorous to get the access panel off and I wouldn't break it doing so rather than charging me £200
Not the same thing but I think I remember in the 90s kwik save doing blanket branding for all their own brand so the cartons of milk and orange juice looked awfully similar.
Led to some very bad hungover morning tea
