Fall 1940 Timely house ad for Human Torch #2 (#1) featuring the origin and first appearance of Toro, Torch’s sidekick. The prior issue was Red Raven #1, thus the reason for the numbering of the first issue.

This ad appeared on the inside back cover of Marvel Mystery Comics #13 (Nov. 1940).

I drew CABLE because for a long time now I've thought it'd be funny if I drew CABLE. Despite not really reading comics as a kid I grew up in a time where every new character in anything looked a little like CABLE so this stuff is embedded in my brain.
