This Shinto shrine β©οΈ was a mere hundred steps from my artist residency in Japan. I meandered up the stairs, sometimes out of breath, through its many torii gates all the way to the top, revealing an amazing view of the rice paddy fields and the mountains in the distance.

Itβs been a long while since I last posted. Most recent news was I was an artist in residence at Studio Kura in Itoshima, Japan. Spent a lovely four weeks there working on a comic and sketching tons. Met amazing artist and made new life-long friends.
Tonight at the printshop. Adding an aquatint to my etching plate and hoo boy itβs tedious work (but in a mediative way).
