On Feb. 5, Johnson High Athletics celebrated a milestone achievement when 13 Jaguar student-athletes put pen to paper during the spring 2025 National Signing Day event, marking the largest Jaguar signing class in school history! Congratulations to all of our Jaguar signees!
On Feb. 4, the Hays Hawks and Lehman Lobos men's basketball teams squared off in a thrilling contest!
While the Lobos had a great start, the Hawks closed with a 67-53 victory that kept Hays (5-6 in 25-5A) in the playoff conversation heading into the final week of the regular season.
On Feb. 6, Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright visited Tobias Elementary School to present Coins of Excellence to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Paraprofessionals Casey Jezisek, Julianna Reyes, Monica Conway and Clara Seitz! Congratulations to all!

On Jan. 31, the Buda Lions Club awarded a combined $28,067.79 in football concession sales to our three comprehensive high schools! Each year, our Buda Lions, who operate the concession stands during varsity Hays CISD home football games, give back 20% of gross concession sales. (1/2)
Taking home silver medal honors was the Barton Middle School Theatre and their production of "Violet Sharp." Finishing in third place was McCormick Middle School and the Tiger Theatre's production of "Rue." (2/2)
