How I use AI agents in emacs: @xenodium.bsky.social's agent-shell + persp-mode (project workspaces) + git worktrees. I have a dashboard that lets me create/switch between workspaces and agents. Emacs is the ideal agentic coding environment as far as I'm concerned.

@zen-browser.app is going to get me to finally switch my default browser. Taking a minute to wrap my head around new workflows, but this is ... nice.

GitHub - farra/agentboxes: Reproducible environments for AI coding agents and orchestrators Reproducible environments for AI coding agents and orchestrators - farra/agentboxes

Looks like we spent the weekend similar projects:

github.com/farra/agentb...

It's rough, but it's a way to specify an agent orchestrator (openclaw, gastown, schux, etc.) in a toml file so that you can run it in docker, distrobox, or a nix subshell. The toml ~= a distro of agents+tools.

Late to @mrlesk.bsky.social 's Backlog.md which has a lot of overlap of my org-mode based github.com/farra/dev-ag... #emacs #org-mode #coding-agents. I'm still doubling down on org-mode, but nice to see similar ideas out there.

I know all the AI conversation is happening on Twitter/X. I just can't support that platform (haven't for years). In 2026, I'm going to share more coding (AI and gamedev) and tabletop thoughts here on blusky.

For Claude Desktop: I have a "Home IT" project that I use for debugging Windows issues and asking simple IT-ish questions. I'm brave: I have MCP Filesystem + MCP Windows (yes, I give it PowerShell). Results: It can manage my AutoHotKey config, debugs crashes, makes Win11 ergonomic for me.

I'm noting that when using AI dev agents for coding (claude code), I'm doubly encouraged to keep the code clean and the README/docs/comments up to date. "Broken windows" / tech debt just confuse the agents. Better to keep everything *always* accurate and working. #ai #devagents #coding

My go-to dev env stack these days:

- justfiles (for consistent project commands)
- jetify devbox (for consistent dev environments. Love this)
- claude code (increasingly hard to live without)
- emacs (works perfectly with dev agents)

Oh and pulumi ESC for secrets.

Video Gaming Law of Infinite Simulation

In keeping with Jevons Paradox, video games expand to consume all available computation - CPU, GPU, ML - up to and beyond real-time simulation of the physical universe.

In short: If we can calculate it, games will play it.

I was aware of D&D in my youth (watched the 80s cartoon), but, to speak to how much of a geek I was in elementary school, I thought BASIC D&D meant I'd get some BASIC source code for a game I could program on my Timex Sinclair 1000. I was disappointed when I found out what Basic D&D actually was!

Admission: My first TTRPG? Shadowrun 1st edition. That's right. What a way to start! I was 11 or 12 years old, my friend got a copy of Shadowrun and we... tried to figure it out. A few years later, I was playing 2nd edition AD&D, Robotech, and RIFTS, but that first game was quite the learning curve.

Yes. I think there's a learning curve to it, but the real unlock for me is integrating into my tools/workflow which, for many things, is very emacs based.

In a world of bad news, one space brings me happiness: the Cambrian explosion of creativity in a the vibrant TTRPG community. Back around 2010, I feared my beloved hobby would whither. Now? So many amazing games. From 5E/Critical Role to OSR to PtbA/Forged to Itch.io indies. Gives me hope.

When designing video games and, especially when designing AI-native games, I tend to look to tabletop RPGs for inspiration.

Automation This means you're free to copy and share these comics (but not to sell them). More details.

Curious: will ai coding assistants actually change the "reality" curve of automation? Even if I can (and do) write helpful scripts faster and more often than before, is the time saved eaten by managing prompts and agents? Am I just managing ai coding interns now?

Could see democratization similar to film -> YouTube/TikTok, but AI may still not fully fill the "taste" and "creativity" gap. As someone working in AI+Games, I can tell you the bar for AI to solve "games" is still very high. We'll get there eventually though.

We actually have automated tests that run against our AI/ML backend that powers Retail Mage (3D multiplayer ai-native game in Steam). We’re also developing automated tests for full in-game AI NPC behaviors. Happy to talk about it more sometime if you’d like.
