For #FlashbackFriday, it's #MTGinktober 98, "Wild," starring Domri Rade & Vivien Reid! This is one of my least favorite slang words lately. It was amusing when Bill Nye the Science Guy would say it, but now it's used for everything, always. Anyway, neat, little #MTG x Jhonen Vasquez mash-up here.
A Warlock stands in a dark chamber holding a glowing spellbook while a massive horned demon looms behind him in chains. Text reads βDiablo II: Reign of the Warlock β Available Now.β Surrounding the center image are panels showing new content: New Items and Runewords, The Chronicle collection tracker, Quality of Life updates with loot filter and stash improvements, the new Warlock class, Colossal Ancients, Updated Terror Zones, and bonus cosmetics including Diablo IV items and a World of Warcraft Horadric Cube.
Introducing the Warlock and enough arcane updates to make any demon nervous.
Play Diablo II: Resurrected- Reign of the Warlock today and see how knowledge bites back.

Granted, this list mercifully plays only three, but the point stands.
The number of times that I have thought "the only thing standing between me and this cool deck is ~270$ worth of Mox Amber"...
Radical.
Hopefully they add more features to further build out the Arena/Companion/Paper connection. I'd love to be able to add players on Arena from playing with them in paper! The recent update of 3 arena wins for each paper event and this are pushes in the right direction!!
Creature-based Black aggro has a history in a number of formats, so its not unheard of.
So long as we're giving type/class to creatures, I think its neat to have payoffs even if they are niche.
Some Vampire enthusiast playing Zendikar Constructed would love to have Coveted Prize!
There's Mono Black Clerics, Rogues, Warriors, and Wizards with good mechanical and flavor reasons to be Mono B, so I think the lack of Coveted Prize being cast is probably more to do with difficulties keeping four creatures alive in modern MTG than anything else. (2/2)
Beseech the Mirror {1}{B}{B}{B} Sorcery Bargain (You may sacrifice an artifact, enchantment, or token as you cast this spell.) Search your library for a card, exile it face down, then shuffle. If this spell was bargained, you may cast the exiled card without paying its mana cost if that spellβs mana value is 4 or less. Put the exiled card into your hand if it wasnβt cast this way.
I don't think ever outside of ZNR limited, but I have seen a very similar card cast quite a bunch. (1/2)
Piewise I think the key here is that Black has the flexibility to tutor for any card type whereas other colors are limited (e.g. Red to instants/sorceries, White to enchantments/PW).
It's a case of [classic card] + [set mechanic], not dissimilar to many limited formats having Threaten+set mechanic.
