There has been a consensus for a while that Stokes should bat 3 and Pope 5/6. This Pope innings seems to have cemented that.
When Root was captain he took the selfless decision to bat at 3 even though it’s not his preferred decision. As captain, Stokes should so the same.
My review of RCB Day one.
❌ should have stayed in for Brar and Ashotush
❌ should have got one of Shami or Avesh
✅ Suyash Sharma is a good buy
✅ Rashikh is an excellent buy
👍 Salt and Jitesh right players but overpaid by 2crore per player
