Thing is the cost of migration is so high it doesn't become worth it. Like at a company I used to work out. They were thinking of using raspberry Pis to run the thin client (like literally show a website), but the cost to migrate was high enough to negate any benefits from switching
Its kinda true. Its what's the easiest to write for these days. Sure, theres a case use for BSD, but the amount of time to set it up and learn isn't worth the hassle.
