Looking northbound from the southeast corner of NE 62nd St & 12 Ave NE toward the freshly painted marked crosswalk crossing the 12th in the Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle.
New marked crosswalk at 62nd & 12th in Roosevelt! Thank you SDOT! 😊

RapidRide B line coach arriving at bus stop across the street from the Redmond library.
My first time riding the King County Metro RapidRide B Line. 😊
I'm on the other end of this situation--part of the "secret" family that the "main" family (for lack of better terms) didn't know about until DNA testing. It's a bit weird!
If you haven't already, I'd consider joining an online group for people having similar experiences. Many of them have NPE (non-paternity event/not parent expected) in the name. If you want to do some additional research on possible relatives, I've also heard many good things about DNA Angels.
Crosswalk near Northgate Station. The view around one corner is obstructed due to a construction site.
Previously there was only a sidewalk on one side of the road, and pedestrians had to cross at this blind corner to access it.
I always felt uneasy at this spot!
Newly opened sidewalk along road inside Northgate Station shopping center. The picture is taking looking south toward the Northgate Link light rail station.
This sidewalk connecting the Northgate Link station to the Kraken Iceplex is now open!
I’m not sure exactly when it opened, but I don’t recall it being open during my visit two weeks ago.
A guy in the monorail line said that he frequently has similar issues with the Kraken app. I wonder how common it is.
The monorail employees have been understanding & waved us through; unfortunately we don’t know how light rail fare enforcement will react, so we’ve been paying extra for Link fare.
iPhone screen showing page in Kraken app saying no transit passes are available
iPhone screen showing page in Kraken app showing even tickets are present
I think it’s wonderful that tickets to Climate Pledge Arena events include public transit passes, but my experience using the required app has been pretty frustrating.
Today, the Kraken/CPA app would not let us redeem our passes, and that’s not the first time this has happened.
Selfie of me wearing Quebec Nordiques t-shirt and baseball cap at hockey game
My Quebec Nordiques apparel is the closest thing I have to Victoire gear, but given the rivalry between the Nordiques and the Canadiens, I’m not sure if any Montreal fans actually appreciate it. 😂
Starting lineup at the beginning of Victoire vs. Fleet hockey game at Climate Pledge Arena
Seattle is hosting a PWHL game right now between the Montreal Victoire and the Boston Fleet.
I am thrilled to be attending my first pro women’s hockey game and hope Seattle gets its own team too!
I am so sorry for your loss. This is heartbreaking.
Is it worse than other hilly routes like the 2 or 8? I’m curious, I actually haven’t ridden on the G Line yet!
“I love you” graffiti written in marker on the back of a seat on a King County Metro bus
You never know where you’ll find love. 💕 🚌
I think this a great point. What do you think about loading zones? I’d be in favor of some loading zones on arterials where there’s otherwise not a safe place to load/unload goods and people. Possibly accessible parking as well? If these things can’t be accomplished on side streets.
Freshly painted bike lane protected by flex posts on 12th Ave NE in Seattle on a rainy day. In the distance, a person in an orange rain jacket is cycling in the bike lane.
I love seeing the new PBLs on 12th Ave NE! 🚴 Thank you SDOT.
Thank you! 😊 I’m happy to be reconnecting with you here.
A sidewalk in the SODO neighborhood of Seattle, covered in dirt and leaves
Nor are the sidewalks!
King County Metro bus stop at 4th Ave S & S Bennett St, in the dark and ran. The bus stop is along an arterial.
SODO bus stops are not my favorite. But they get the job done!

Photo of me smiling and wearing a red and white Christmas-themed dress and Santa hat.
Y’all better behave or else I’ll record a new version of SDOT Baby.
That is a threat.
King County Metro coach with destination sign “113 Shorewood” approaching 2nd & Pike Station in downtown Seattle
As I waited for the bus, I pondered, is this the first time I’ve ever ridden King County Metro 113?
My records say… yes! I love checking off new (for me) transit routes! ✅😊
Good to see you!
(I hope it's clear that that is a joke!
I probably either don't know you, don't know you well enough, don't know your address, or don't think YOU like me!)
Stack of holiday cards in envelopes on a table, fanned out showing a variety of holiday stamps.
I love sending Christmas/holiday cards! ❄️💌
If you don’t receive one from me this year, it’s because I don’t like you! 😊
Screening of film “Join or Die”, with title frame on a projection screen, and audience members watching.
Thank you Urbanist Shoreline for hosting a screening of the film “Join or Die” and a follow-up discussion about the importance of joining clubs and building community!
(I promise, plenty of us were there; we’re just all shy about sitting up front 😅)
I am emerging from my hermit phase, and looking forward to reconnecting with you lovely people here on Bluesky and in real life!
I am working on a personal set of guidelines to keep my posts here joyful and productive (at least, most of the time)!
