Those two square inches of magenta is all it took to sell me on this beauty.
I’m imagining the pure joy of seeing this sign in the real world pointing to haunted mansionssss– plural!

The Legend of Boggy Creek
Partly because it’s from my region, but also because it uses the documentary format so effectively and it can be genuinely chilling in spite of its G rating
My favorite meme of '25
My new decorating technique this year- clothespin garland of old trick or treat bags

You read my mind, that was almost my caption!
Saw this beauty at the Chicago toy show this summer
It gives me '80s Scholastic book vibes, but I can't make a direct connection to anything specific.
I almost bought these socks just for the tag. Then I remembered that the camera in my pocket could enable me to look at the tag whenever I want.

Unbelievable art on this vintage Eveready Fright Glove!
I knew the sound before I turned up the volume but alas, I know not a name. I wonder if it was designed from scratch or if that’s the spookiest sound they could get within the limitations of the component
I grabbed a volume of The Hitchhiker series for a buck and it brought back memories of watching it on HBO, but it’s pretty forgettable. Lots of nudity shoehorned in ala HBO.

Look what I found!
'Magic Fun Shop' is a new photo book by Adam Wallacavage that documents the legendary, but sadly defunct, Philadelphia store. It's mostly photos of dangling rubber masks, but the shots of vintage prank packaging twist my bittersweet heart. thesecretheadquarters.bigcartel.com/product/magi...
That’s a nice looking float!
Just ebay a vintage inflatable patch kit and everything will be fine.
I had a nagging feeling within me that I’ve seen this graphic before, and after racking through the deep recesses of my brain, I remembered where I saw it. I was so fond of the graphic myself that I snapped a picture of it. The pencil return box at Novelty Golf in Chicago. 💀
No way! Amazing! And now I want to go to that golf joint
I found this clip art AGAIN! I wasn't even searching, but it popped up in the "Pagan Invasion: Halloween" video from 1990. This was my reward for watching a Halloween mix tape on VHS from @trashwitchh.bsky.social!
That’s a beauty!
So true!!
Yes! I actually show screenshots of this episode to my design history class because that house sums up 80s postmodernism so well.
FYI, I think the art above the bed is by Dorothy Gillespie who was right on trend when that was filmed.
what's funny is that I've scoured Archive.org clip art books for it several times. Then all of the sudden, there it is!
