Thank you :-)
Thank you :-)
I'm going to make time today to put together a new 'flowers' greetings card pack. These three will all be in there.
All containing my favourite flowers.

Thank you so much Mark. Thatβs very kind of you.
Words by Tolkien.
It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary fold that keep darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.
Hello Spring I couldn't resist including you in a painting any longer. This is all done in watercolours. The lettering is drawn by me in pencil and then I paint over it with watercolours and white gouache. I don't use computers for this, just 4 years of training at uni. Last night tooβ¦.
As the world seems so very scary right now, I'm fully focussed on Spring blossoms and bird song.
The Robins are serenading me wherever I go. And now the Wrens are joining in too.
Watercolours from 2024.

Two peacocks with lettering from Elizabeth Barrett Browning How do I love thee. Let me count the ways.
With words by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
This painting of our peacock and peahen has been tormenting me all week. I have really stressed over the colours of their feathers.
Not all paintings come easy and this is one of the hardest I've ever painted.
Reminds me of thisβ¦

Horse sleeping amongst the beech trees and bluebells. With a short eared owl flying and hares running.
My finished painting with the words by Louisa May Alcott.
Sleeping horse. Flying short eared owl. Running hares and a halo around the moon.
I really hope you like the finished piece.
You are not alone. And you are loved.
On hand made paper from Thailand.
You are not alone.

Thank you.
New work - not quite finished but soon.
With words by Louisa May Alcott.
I love greens, purples and whites together.
Roll on bluebells, stitchwort and spring.
Yes here too. A tree full of blackthorn blossom (up high) was a surprise. Against the black sky of a coming storm it looked incredible β€οΈ
A robin sitting on a trough. Surrounded my stitchwort and cowslips.
I've not been on here much this week. A long, stressful week.
But in that time I've seen so many signs of Spring arriving. Including a huge Blackthorn tree in full bloom.
It is coming. And I love it.

Thank you so much Catherine.
Thank you so much.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for saying that.
With everything thatβs not gold, I use a scanner. But with the gold, I have to take photographs and my family have to put up with me wandering around the house in every direction, looking for the perfect spot! I feel so foolish.
Thank you :-)
I know that we live in a world where we scroll so fast.
But if you get a minute to click on any of the pictures and see the beautiful features that each of these animals have, I really recommend it. The feathers around the Tawny Owl's eyes particularly. Layer upon layer.
Four of my 'deep peace' paintings.
The animals are painted in watercolours.
The gold is Schmincke Aqua Bronze. This can be tricky to work with but really elevates everything.
Words from the Gaelic Blessing.
Two hares amongst the Stitchwort flowers. With the words from Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors Let's go hand in hand not one before the other.
Shakespeare, as ever, saying exactly what is important to me.
Let's go hand in hand, not one before the other.
I would add to that, let's raise others up. Let's support our friends. #womensart
I've not seen a Bullfinch here for ages.
But the buds are on the fruit trees and my hopes are high that they may just come and feed here again soon.

Foxes and swallows.
A watercolour painting finished on Saturday night. And I hope, a new Mother's Day card for March.
A vixen does incredible work. Somehow feeding and coping with these scallywags.
So few make it through their first year. She is amazing to me.

Two foxes resting by a Shepherd's Hut. Under the moon with words from either Alice in Wonderland or an Alice related production. This is my dream. I'll decide where to go from here.

Two deer, a golden moon, Jackdaws, fern and the words from Rumi.
βI will soothe you and heal you, I will bring you roses.
I too have been covered with thorns.β Rumi
And I love these words. Love the thought animals co-existing together. Also love weaving ferns into my paintings.
