Finally had a moment to read this piece. Almost all the people quoted in it are either friends, people I know, or friends of friends, people I respect tremendously.

english allows for really fuckoff complicated syllables that very few other languages would let slide. like "strengths". that's one syllable. eight sounds, one vowel. one syllable. consonants clustered way too close to each other. Unforgivable.

As a trans person with a child, I’ve spent time in schools. I recall tiny kiddos seeing me, registering something’s different, but invariably, there’s a shrug moment, and we all move on.

2- Attention from older guys feels nice but it actually says nothing about our maturity and everything about their immaturity.
