Introducing the five Champo clubs who Norwich beat in February to make them the ‘form’ team. Not the toughest run of games ever #lufc
Big fan of STV making reasonable adjustments for the partially sighted back in 1971. Today’s Big Match Revisited also featured sightings of Duncan McKenzie floating about in Forest’s 6-1 pumping at Spurs & Worthington, Ellam and Cherry chasing shadows in a Town side getting done 3-0 at Anfield #lufc
“I feel a duty to stay here, because the schadenfreude from those I’ve gloated to will be unbearable”
Haven’t read the article but probably thinks he’s better than the current players and could still do a job in midfield
Never heard of ‘em!
😀 Suspect the guitar swinging was influenced by a group like The Jam, as The Graduate’s overall stylising - smart mod suits and trims - reflected that too.
That was our last game of the 1981/82 season. We lost and got relegated two days later when Stoke beat WBA. All a bit weird back then, teams didn’t always play their final game on the same day especially if they were working through a backlog of weather affected postponed games #lufc
Not wishing bad vibes on your household Josey but I’d dearly love the Baggies to go down. And down again. Only then could I start to forgive them for that 2-1 win in 1971 and 2-0 in 1982 #lufc
Perhaps.
Between The Graduate and Tears for Fears they briefly called themselves History of Headaches 😀
Well I think they settled on the best name of the three
From an episode of Runaround with Mike Reid presenting just how you remember it. Band were called The Graduate, song is catchy af but their stage craft needs a little work 😂

Possibly the greatest ever single sheet in the Daily Telegraph’s existence (low bar) as they cover Don Revie’s upcoming England friendly against the World Champions and carry a match report of Leeds’ 3-0 European Cup QF victory over Anderlecht. Great match? haven’t the foggiest #lufc

The Mondays should defo re-issue this. Shaun’s Admiral T, not the tune. This cover of Boys’ is an abomination. It’s only redeeming feature was Phil Lynott was too dead to ever hear it
