As I've discussed previously, this is a non-viable approach to athletic testing. It wipes out scoring for a vast majority of the players you really want to see the scores of, essentially prioritizing players who are the least likely to be drafted over everything.
This new method would land us only 382 first rounders with a score, as opposed to 893 we have now, wiping out nearly 60% of 1st round picks who had a score.
We also had 7,785 players who were drafted with the regular #RAS methodology, only 4,032 for this rigid method, wiping out almost half of drafted players.
The first run is the rigid 10 tests or no score concept. The largest difference in players who had a score with both methods was a difference of 0.95, so ~10%.
There were 16,631 players with a score who had all 10 metrics, as opposed to 25,830 we have now, wiping 1/3 out.
It'll take me a few days to get it up on the site in a digestable manner, but we have our first results from me rerunning the RAS code with some of your suggested ideas.

One change is that I will NOT be accepting testing data from players themselves, even if from a valid scout sheet.
APT or nothing for the pro day circuit.
For exactly the reason you'd expect it to be.
I'll still accept data from agents, along with others I know will be valid.
After pro days start coming in, I'll post updates on occasion but it won't be every day this year, maybe once or twice a week, depending on volume.
Like last year, I'll post less unofficial pro day stuff, engagement wasn't all that good anyway and better to have the finals.
Players who did all the testing at the Combine will get their 'final' score posted, with their team colors, while players with tests outstanding will still have the Combine card until their pro day.
Looks like we're done for the day, so here's the plan for the rest of the Combine.
