KC has one of the best library systems around. πŸ“š I loved spending time with Abby and Courtney from KCPL. They're doing incredible work for our community!
Fun fact: Abby was my husband Jacob's middle and high school librarian.

I met with members of the AFT#691 and am honored to have their endorsement. As a former educator & spouse of a public school teacher, I can't say enough about how deserving our school personnel are of our support. I’m running for state house in Missouri’s 24th District.

After 20 years of one-party control in Jefferson City, it’s time for a change. Grateful for Rep. Emily Weber’s service and proud to support her run for City Council.

Missouri faces budget crunch as capital gains tax cut hits harder than expected When Missouri lawmakers voted on the bill, the tax cut was estimated to reduce revenue by about $111 million annually. Now the state budget director says the loss could be as much as $500 million the first year and $360 million annual annually.

The capital gains tax cut passed this year by Missouri lawmakers will cost far more than expected and shrink state revenues, a new state budget estimate shows.(@missouriindependent.com)

The Midtown KC Democrats first winter social was a big success. 40 people including first timers enjoyed the season together and gear up for next year.

When a small group of us planned this, we had high hopes but expectations have been surpassed. This group is going to do great things in 2026.

Missouri kindergarten vaccination rates fall below immunity threshold: 'We are sweating' A community needs a vaccination rate of at least 95% to be adequately protected from measles outbreaks. This isn’t going to be easy or quick. One midterm or lawsuit isn’t enough. We have to be ready for a long, tough fight against their money & forces.

I also want to scream, cry, and give up but we can’t - especially for those who can’t fight. So we protest, organize, gather, inform, vote, listen, and persist. It worked before and can again.
