Plasmids are some of the most powerful drivers of AMR, and understanding how they evolve is key to staying ahead.
Thrilled to co-chair this session with @aphendrickx.bsky.social as we welcome Dr. Daria Frolova for a deep dive into plasmid evolution and structural variation.
Looking forward to the talk! Might reach out after with some ideas π
The series continues with another exciting talk!
As a new study group, we're still building on our reach, so any help in sharing our webinars is truely appreciated!
Thanks for helping us grow! π§¬
Remember to join our @escmid.bsky.social study group webinar tomorrow.
Registration required.

π In 2020, 35 elephants in Zimbabwe died mysteriously.
Our new study in Nature Communications shows a Pasteurella-like bacterium with a unique mix of virulence genes - including toxins normally found in the meningitis bacterium Neisseria meningitidis.
Genomics helped unlock this extraordinary case.
β¨CΓ©lia Souque just showcased the outcomes of the 12th Microbial Bioinformatics Hackathon at IMMEM XIV.
She brilliantly presented the first sneak-peek of PORT β Plasmid Outbreak Reporting Tool! π§¬
Looking forward to continuing this collaboration with PORT!
