A wide format image of the morning sun shining through thin fog and the top of a large tree, creating crepuscular rays that spread out over the park's trees and green grass. Above the sky is blue with patches of fog. A car with its headlights on approaches on the far right side of the photo. Laguna Lake Park, San Luis Obispo, California

Thanks! It's a great conversation starter too - big grey lens means I must know what you're doing...?
The deer came quite close and eyes looked amazing.

Great shot, Teri!
Although Steve makes the 2 ducks and a deer, that i posted today, look very... unthreatening 😁 (There was a goose that looked grumpy though 😳)

I'm surprised - I loved my '97 318is to bits. Reved like hell (watch the limiter!) and always seemed like more than 140bhp πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Like others have said, maybe not in full health?

Okay, so the baby camera definitely has a place in my kit, even though the eye-af hunt is quite frequent. This might be my favorite gator photo ever! I named him Steve. πŸ˜‚

Serenity

The best times with the camera are when I can stop rushing and just breathe.

The picture shows an impressive gorge landscape, which is the Arribes del Duero Natural Park. This region is located on the border between Spain and Portugal. The Duero flows through the valley, which has cut deep into the granite rock over millions of years, forming steep gorges known as "Arribes".
The slopes are covered with Mediterranean vegetation, including juniper, oak and, in the lower areas, often olive and almond trees.
In the background, a bridge can be seen spanning the deep gorges, as well as fortifications and retaining walls on the slopes. The area is known as a special protection area for birds, especially griffon vultures, golden eagles and black storks.

Good morning, Bluesky. Be the beacon of light that guides others out of the darkness. Sometimes, when we’re lost, all we need is a glimpse of light to find our way home.

Haha, well it was ok (if you saw my post earlier). Again, not quiet R5 territory but the ability to resolve the hair sticking out from the deers' coats with the R6mk2, at that distance, always amazes me.
Have a good evening Teri.

Okay, one more! Yesterday, the weather was foggy, but I was pleasantly surprised by how the light managed to shine through the fog. My local park, with its birds and gators, is quite like Jurassic Park, albeit a bit safer, haha.

Sometime later... Tactical error: New glasses have transition lenses. I had no idea how much judgement for lighting i did in my head until it was thrown off by these new specs! Not sure i got anything worth sharing but see when I get home....

A pair of baby Great-Horned owls.

Hello Bluesky! I hope everyone had a pleasant Monday. Owls are my mother’s favorite animal, and even though we aren’t close, I can’t help but think of her whenever I see them. This one is for you, mom.

You're right. Power is cheap (these days) and getting weight out is hard (and expensive). When I were a lad.... every bhp was hard won and significant. Dad's Sierra 2.0 GLS (<1200kg) had an extra 10 bhp over the previous GL and it was night and day.
