Counting down the hours left till I can play the full thing. It's not a perfect series but I pre-ordered Stories 3 in a heartbeat, whereas I've not played the last multiple Pokemon games. Scratches the itch and does it better, imo. 3 is the most approachable title in the series, too.
I've worked with phone systems before, the automated stuff is always cheaper than paying someone to talk to callers. It always comes down to what's cheap, not what's efficient. Corporate looks at you funny when you start saying things like, 'people just don't wanna talk to robots'

Oh, this is adorable. Teenage me read a lot of 'happy alt universe' Naruto fanfics a lot like this. Heck, there's even a movie with Minato and Kushina still being alive as the entire premise.

I feel like if Martin and HBO wanted to make a show loyal to a political focus, this should not have been the S2 finale cliffhanger. Showing a mobilizing army of zombies denotes imminent war, but the white walkers continued to be sparsely utilized boogymen for several more seasons.
Always sorry to hear about these jobs. I've done phone work before, thankfully not sales related though. It was in the medical field, where doctors are calling needing information to treat patients with real issues, not Company J trying to sell some overpriced, unneeded service or trinket.

A lot of male dynamics in media, be it brothers, friends, etc rely on death, tension, rivalry or some other conflict as a basis for their heart to heart moments, as if we're simply incapable of writing boys with feelings. The emotional moments have to be born from an external situation- (1)
It's interesting to think that I've become fairly adept at writing siblings not because I had real life experiences with them but because I've hyperfixated on those relationships in the media I engage with, and practiced writing those relationships for almost twenty years. (2)
As a writer, I definitely fall under longing, desire myself. I forged my creative spark from the desire to have a sibling during a difficult part of childhood but never getting one. Writing for me is exploring those relationships I never had myself. (1)

In writing I get this feeling when I read a paragraph and it gives me the type and depth of emotion I wanted it to. I struggle a lot with perfection but this way of approaching it does make things feel more achievable.

I think one of the best things we can do is to get help identifying not just what we struggle with, but how those things interact with each other. Some people have a unique bush for their obstacle, but others will have a tree that's rooted in one obstacle but has grown additional issue branches. (3)
Not that depression isn't often its own thing, but I've learned the universe likes to play a cruel game of 'get one, get 1-3 more free' with mental health issues. If someone has depression it's more likely than not they also contend with something else, be it anxiety, ADHD, OCD, etc. (2)
