boob angel hanging out in a pool i didn't bother to draw. she's got a cross necklace and a bikini held up by a little cross amulet jesus (who is straining to support the weight)
two (more) drawings of my blonde angel oc, both from a while ago. she's got a bloody glowing sword in one sketch and is wearing armour and holding a crossbow in the other

One more shift for the week. Guys I just love my ocs. They're getting me through a lot right now. Just one more shift and j can...do more work on comms/projects whilst thinking of my ocs, which I love doing. They're getting me through a lot right now--ad infinitum
A semi-naked woman wearing a horned helmet and a red cape. She's holding a short sword and a small round shield.
I do this too, the harder option is more fun for me. Sometimes if for professional work ill take the readability route, because i know its best for the clients sake. Otherwise, id rather take the hard route. More to break down, more to learn and explore, its more satisfying than mere aesthetics
A female android with six arms, she's resting one pair of arms on her hips, stretching another pair above her head and using the main pair of hands to make a heart gesture. She's wearing a crop top and puffy shorts.

Im having a hard time understanding what the diagram is communicatingβ¦
Yeah but its not as simple as just keeping one shape darker than the shape behind it. Just as a micro example here you can see the way I intentionally shift which value is light and which is dark within the same shape. I try to find and capitalize on every opportunity I can for this sorta thing.
Rj i a ate a lot of food and now im out of breath. How do you keep consistent structure when drawing symmetrical creatures or figures? Whats your approach to structure that allows you to keep consistent vision on overall form and proportion of the character? Thanks in advance! PS. Find my pages

Are you cultivating your Qi to achieve dragon cultivation state
Yea
Ive also recently interacted with the idea of using thematic storytelling elements to enhance a drawings intrigue. Like the use of symbols in classical art. May it be doves, flowers, etc, stuff that gives character some enigma and story to the painting. Writing about the pieceβs meaning helps
Furthering into my personal standpoint, i have a Similar approach. Because i am well trained in pencil-work. i create mental parallels to it for relatability. I start with pencils, then either grayscale or paint over. 2 toning is super helpful for style bc of the detail that you can get from it.
Big message
