Agreed! Manhunter had that surreal vibe that just clicked so well, I really want in TPB to be able to luxuriate in one sitting to absorb it better.
The subtle tweaks and turns have felt fresh while retaining so much of the core of the characters. Genuinely, this line has been so good
The Absolute Series has been pretty stellar. Absolute Wonder Woman is one of the best ongoing series I have read in a very long time.
Every show is like every person... it's own. Yes, it may be influenced or have some similarities/pieces of what it is born from but it is unique in it's own way and should be viewed as such. As long as it helps grow the universe and tell great stories, let it breathe and live.
Got that across was actually well done. As well as the parallelism of the storytelling they did between Genesys and Darem... who have been running on parallel courses the whole season so far in competition. Plus the quieter moments to try to deal with the fall out of things. 2/2 #StarfleetAcademy
Ok. So I actually enjoyed the Academy episode. Totally get why we didn't see Darem's parents - that was kinda the whole point. His parents, for all his searching for their approval, DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIM or EVER SHOW UP FOR HIM! The fact so many are missing how subtly but pointedly they 1/2

Trying to be spoiler free so not expanding on anything else but FML, some of the puritanical takes about the whole "language!" or "sex may happen in a show and the people are young!"
Still loving Starfleet Academy and Giamatti is a phenomenal villain. And for those folks pearl clutching out there... nothing in this show is racier than what I watched as a young adult in the late 80s/early 90s (or when I was younger the adverts I saw when overseas) #Starfleetacademy
I have these types of migraines and one of the worst parts- you never know if it could actually be a stroke. Especially when they have been under control/dormant for an extended period. This man is trash. Throw him out like it

It was wonderful. No spoilers but I genuinely adored it. Then again, I am truly loving Academy. It feels like Star Trek should feel when it is trying to rebuild itself and adjust after the Burn, ya know?
