Small, sustainable changes for the win!
Oh God, there's 40% off on the Dune MMORPG on Steam...I'm being tempted. Horribly, horribly tempted. Help.
It's also responsible for one of my fav Red Dwarf jokes in my fav Red Dwarf episode.
Richard III. LEAVE ME ALONE. Anyway, it's Ian McKellan's fault. That AU fascist thirties Britain film he did made me love Shakespeare.
Looks like it's her jigsaw now.
Congrats!! β€οΈβ€οΈ
Actually, here's that announcement, and it's huge! Who Killed Nessie by me and @rachaelsmith.bsky.social has been nominated in the British Book Awards! www.thebookseller.com/british-book...
Unexpected David Warner! Nice. #TwinPeaks
They did not, alas. But she's named for me!
A black and white ink drawing of a dalek (from Doctor Who) and a little boy pointing at it saying 'Look mummy, a garlic!'
Nap Comix #379
I was a guest at London Comic Con Spring last weekend and I took the boys with me. Henry really likes comic cons these days so it's always a good time. He was obsessed with this 'Garlic' and followed it around for ages, haha!

That's awesome! Lower Decks is my one true 21st century Trek, and a small part of that comes from the "oh, thank god, it's not another prequel."
Ha! I did have one or two advantages - I'm left-handed and she was primarily foil. (I was quite good at the time too - I did competitions and won stuff, but still!)
And I went in determined to make this the first Trek series I hated - I've always been flargh at the Academy idea, now was surely my chance! - but no, here I am enjoying it instead.
I'm generally enjoying, but by the end of episode five silent tears were streaming down my face. That one hit so damn hard.
I beat an Olympic level fencer in an Γ©pΓ©e match.
Silver-lining for me: it made me start reading the books! I had to know if Cornwell had really written something so atrocious.
(I feel like adding that though I have had extremely poor experiences with more than one psychologist. My experience with my GP and various psychiatrists has been superb/life-saving.)
Oh! I had that too! Except they could chuck you out after six. Which she did. And she tried to get rid of my after three. (I got a "I'm surprised you turned up again" at number four.) I was "difficult". No shit, Sherlock! Did you even read my notes?
For shame! Writers are just terrible people.
Indeed. I got blown up in a car. It was a very sad time for me.
I got fired by a psychologist for not sufficiently endorsing CBT due to the whole "I assume you've never considered your own thoughts before" thing.
I recognise this joke has something to do with music.
It is 17 years and one week since @paulcornell.bsky.social blew me up in Issue 5 of Captain Britain and MI13. That is all.
All caught up on Starfleet Academy and I have thoughts. Pleasant thoughts! Mostly. lmmyles.com/2026/03/04/s...

Noted!!
I almost forgive the ep thanks to the Lower Decks sequel...almost.
I'm pleased to announce that @doonpook.bsky.social and I will be debuting our brand new pilot script, NPCs, as a table-read at the Joy Who Lived festival on April 12th!
The tavern is for tourists, and the "side quests" are their entire lives.

The end of an era! Having so many Livejournal flashbacks right now. Farewell, Iantoβs Shrine!
