This illegal, unnecessary attack won’t make us safer or guarantee a democratically elected government in Venezuela. It will only cost lives.

We gave women the right to vote and we ended poll taxes. The SAVE Act and its Michigan equivalent would undo so much of this, but we won’t let it happen!

Walls of injustice have been put up countless times, but they've been overcome because good people persisted. Make sure you do too.
Benjamin Franklin told us we have a republic "if we can keep it." Do not let a handful of far-right politicians and extremists attack our freedom to vote and sabotage election results so only a wealthy few are heard.
Honor the heroism on January 6th, 2021 and be one now.
Those same extremists are using disinformation to pass bills to sabotage elections, control their outcomes, criminalize voting officials & give partisan poll watchers the ability to harass & intimidate voters.
Just like then, we need heroes of all kinds to stand up.
Then and today, we saw what Americans across every race, place, party and background want come true: the voters deciding who wins.
While the will of the voters has prevailed both times, elections are just as vulnerable to sabotage - if not more.
Four years ago, MAGA extremists tried to sabotage an election through insurrection. Thankfully, heroes of all kinds stopped them.
From Capitol police who stood in peril to protect others, to Senate staff who protected ballot boxes, heroes from all walks of life saved the day. 🧵

Wrapped up my last finance committee meeting this morning. Took the chance to stay after and clean out my desk. While my very last meeting will be in a few days, it was great to revisit so many memories with old papers and manuals.
