Star Wars taught me more of a moral code than any Bible verse. The power of Hope, the importance of Friendship and Loyalty, embracing Diversity and Acceptance, the perils of Hubris and Arrogance—and the balance between Light and Dark…

Stay on target, my friends… and May the 4th be with you. Always.

I enjoyed the workshop. I hope the findings don’t get cut off.

This isn't the main concern with these outbreaks, but I cannot stop thinking about how we've reinstated all these diseases that cause deafness while we systematically dismantle disability protections and education. I think the irony is breaking my brain.

Get them out of government. Most not old enough to be elected to anything. One suspects they are part of Musk’s gaming posse.

I went to my Congressman's local office today. First off, they were surprised that I was there. They said they had been getting phone calls, but I was the first walk-in. That said, the phones were not ringing off the hook. If the DC phone lines are busy, try calling the local office.

LA is burning, and the Right is furious—about sign language interpreters Life-saving ASL interpretation is the latest woke scourge.

Charlie Kirk called ASL interpretation a “distraction."

In response, the president of the National Association of the Deaf board wrote: “This real-time interpretation can be life-saving during emergencies, when clear and immediate understanding is vital.”

I want to start my own dissertation that’s for a potential PhD. But I want to do it independently. Is that even possible??

The football game of Ohio state against Notre dame ? That’s what I’m gonna watch instead of that clusterfuck event that shouldn’t be happening. 😊

We Deserve Better than
"Band-aid" Solutions
Tokenism often relies on stereotypes or oversimplified views of disability and deatness, rather than recognizing the diversity of experiences within disabled and deaf communities. This can reinforce harmful assumptions and create more barriers, offering only temporary or surface-level solutions.
Token efforts may provide short-term visibility or acknowledgment, but they don't lead to the deeper, structural changes needed for true inclusion.
Without a systemic approach, these efforts simply act as "band-aids" that fail to address the root causes of exclusion.
It's time for people of disabled communities and deaf communities to lead special education and deaf education.
