This is also a fair assessment, I feel like LinkedIn has somehow gained much more traction for that purpose these days. With a lot more political takes than it used to, at least in my academic-policy-politics-activist circles
In Europe: there is quite a drop, with France leading departures. Twitter lost 2.7 million users there, followed by Germany, 1.5 million. It doesn't mean people have migrated here, but they certainly are interested to move away from the hellhole...

Besides getting some useful training, knowing my neighbours better and practicing citizen science in a hyperlocalised setting, it's also daily photos of happy newts/frogs and toads being helped to cross the roads that would have otherwise killed them 2/5
Weeks ago I joined this "Saving the ambibians" initiative helping frogs and newts migrate and, as you can suspect, it's the most wholesome groupchat. 😭 100 % recommend for mental health 1/5
