My favorite little blepper 😸
Had the wildest thing happen today while snowboarding. The soles on both my boots delaminated! These were like 15 yo boots that had been sitting in the garage for a while so I guess the glue degraded. Despite that still had a lovely day at Snoqualmie despite the low snow pack this year.
When I first saw that diagram my game programmer brain immediately went to cross product right hand rule diagram lol (curling fingers around the normal vector).
@straycatalyst.bsky.social was hankering for a homemade chicken pot pie yesterday, so I obliged. (I cheated and used pre-made crust since I’m terrible at that). I forgot how much of an awesome winter comfort meal this is.
Oh no. I’m only 3 eps in. Guess I should buckle up and get the tissues.

Did a tour of the rebuilt Globe Theater here in London today. Was funded in part by individual donors at £300/person to buy a stone with your name on it. John Cleese (of Monty Python fame) bought 2: one for himself and one for Michael Palin, but only on the condition that Palin’s name wrong.😂
Before my visit, I didn’t realize that the Tower of London was at one point a multi-purpose government office, one of who roles was as a repository for weapon templates and standard measures. They had some standard imperial sized vessels. I had never seen a “peck” before (2 gallons).

Sayin’ hi to the Ravens at the Tower of London. These fellas love the bird bath.
Just completed a super fun Bridge Command sim here in London at bridgecommand.space. Highly recommend. Was a super fun blend of interactive sim, team coordination and role play with actors. We rescued a crazy scientist in our particular mission. Was wild seeing her go from on screen to on deck.
When my Japanese language teacher and I travel we try and make a point to send postcards to each other from the places we visit. It’s good writing practice, but man, my penmanship is bad in English, and even more so in Japanese. I feel like an elementary kid when I write lol.😂

Got to check out the Brighton Pier this afternoon with friends. Really lucked out with the weather in the later afternoon. Clouds opened after shortly after we arrived. Also won a Brighton themed tea towel in the arcade!
Wrapped the global game jam here in Brighton with my teammates yesterday. Huge thanks to the Unity Brighton team for hosting!! The jam site was super cozy. So many inspiring games made this year.
Ohh cool! Looking forward to meeting this guy next week. Which reminds me, I gotta make sure that’s open for tours.

On the way back from dinner in Brighton this evening we came across an urban fox! They were surprisingly unbothered by our proximity.
Just arrived this morning in London to join my compatriots for the 2026 Global Gam Jam. On the train down to Brighton to meet up with folks now! Couldn’t ask for a nicer morning to ride the train.

I kept forgetting to share this, but this was a cool VTuber character design @bwalker81.bsky.social commissioned from me! It's based on a bull-headed shrike. The final character is going to be 3D. This was a fun project.
