Had such a great time at the BirdLife Norway in Drøbak meeting yesterday! Lots of interesting information about the birds around the area here, getting to know the lovely members and staff, and also sold a few paintings of which half the proceedings went to BirdLife.

A collection of Eurasian eagle owls I have made over the past years. I love this biggest of owls. They have so much expression in their faces, such lovely orange eyes and beautifully patterned feathers. The half grown chicks especially are charming, they have such character.

More wolfies! Here are some studies I made after the wonderful meeting with the wolves of Langedrag Naturpark this weekend. The paintings are done with watercolor in my Steamline journal. Unfortunately I couldn´t bring my sketchbook in with the wolves, as they love to steal things

Up close and personal, a meeting with the magnificent wolf. WHAT an experience! Seeing one of my favorite subjects to paint, so close, feeling its power but also its gentler nature, intelligence and enigma.
I was offered this opportunity in Langedrag Naturpark here in Norway. Definitely recommended!
