I have the opposite problem which sucks because I do want to finish a book one day.

Finished The Monk. What an absolute ride, a LOT of horrific things happen in this book.

Also somebody said that Satanized by Ghost is inspired by it and yeah, I definitely get the similarities 🖤

Over time, they lost their magic. I matured, and I realised that, actually, a lot of problematic stuff was hidden beneath what I thought was a nice writing style.

Fast forward to now where yet more problematic things about her keep arising.

I loved these books, but it's time to let them go.

There was a point in my life where SJM was my favourite author. Around ten years ago, if not more now, when the Throne of Glass series and ACOTAR were just coming out.

I followed these books coming out, waiting eagerly for the next one. They gave me a new appreciation for fantasy.
