like i must be able to see through their eyes but still turn to the audience and go 'lmao look at this dude' and third person limited is excellent for this
i literally drop books with first person POV too so like i cant blame people for having a strong POV-preference but like. i NEED a specific amount of distance between me and this character. right. like. i need to be inhabiting them the way a specter might haunt someone

Iโm designing Adrien and Abelโs looks for the bonus chapter in reprint version. Itโll probly be a short gag episode to (maybe?) comfort readers a little. Set in a modern AU inspired by the original theme. So yes, the doctor is still miserable as ever. ๐

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
(You rip off the mask of faux concern and itโs just transmedicalism all over again. Amidst this rising wave of violent transphobia, yall are worried whoโs allowed to be in the trans community? Goofy ass behavior. Be in community with your trans siblings or die alone under the patriarchyโs boot)
(Also also, this is the same guy who seems to think that trans men who donโt go on HRT arenโt actually trans and donโt get a say in trans discourse so why am I even surprised he has takes like โtrans men have male privilege and therefore donโt experience misogynyโ)
same for trans men. And anyone else who happens to be on the queer discourse cycle of the decade. People NEED to stop being so weird about trans men discussing our lives and experiences, especially those that are privileged in other areas like wealth or location or race)
(And also: people forget that male privilege is a deeper concept than just โsometimes people are nicer to you when they donโt know youโre transโ. If you can recognize that pre-transition and closeted trans women donโt get male privilege simply for looking like cis men then you can acknowledge the
โOh Iโve never had problems beforeโ ok good for you, consider that the reason why youโve never had problems before was due to the decades of activism and not due to your inherent Male Privilege that came with the he/him pronoun badge thanks
And then they donโt even talk about the medical transphobia and misogyny double whammy that trans men disproportionally face in the doctorโs office. Affirming doctors are rare and far between and those of us who had okay experiences are fortunate to live in places that have access to this
Bc all it does is allow people to point to it and go โwell weโre just respecting your gender identity by denying your experiences with transphobia and/or misogyny, checkmate liberal!โ Like yeah itโs great if *checks notes* sometimes people are nicer if they donโt know youโre trans
Idk just a little pissed off. Itโs like being told they have male privilege is gender affirming for some of these guys, as if this is something anyone should be aspiring towards. Perhaps, and this might be crazy, we shouldnโt tie our gender expression to privilege or disenfranchisement
Like bro is so close to getting it but alas. We seem to have forgotten that transphobia, racism, and misogyny are three branches of the same rotting tree and every flavor of any of these has the others mixed in
Lowkey sick of cis-passing white trans men who insist their experiences are universal and get mad when other trans men who donโt fit in those categories in some way tell them they had a different experience with life like damn dude way to show a complete lack of compassion
A digital drawing of author Maia Kobabe, a white nonbinary person with short brown hair wearing a patterned blue shirt, who scowls while holding up a copy of eir book GENDER QUEER: A MEMOIR. Maia is saying: H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban my books, and any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps and say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

ppl who still commission their favourite artists even in this era where everyone is broke and genAI is being pushed on us at every opportunityโyou are appreciated more than words can express!!!
Like in summary itโs giving โtemporarily embarrassed billionaireโ from some of these people sometimes. Just get used to being average. Most of us have to be
And sure, there are many โtipsโ you can implement to manipulate the algo or whatever, but none of it matters if you hate what you drew! Do it for the love of the game, not for the money or attention bc frankly, there are more lucrative careers to get into if thatโs all that matters to you
Ig it could be argued that very popular artists saying โjust draw what you enjoyโ is a little bit of survivorship bias. But it also doesnโt necessarily invalidate the adviceโthe only way to commit to drawing more is if you actually like what you draw, and the only way to get better is to draw more
But eventually I realized: if no one on the internet liked my art no matter what I drew, why wouldnโt I just draw something I actually like instead? Especially if the outcome is basically the fucking same. At least I know for sure that at least *one* person will enjoy my art (me)
but Iโve found it bothers me way less, bc Iโve figured out that even when I tried to chase trends I still didnโt get much attention and i also hated the art I made, and had no motivation to make anything anymore or to improve. It just felt impossibly Bad
I grew up posting โflop postsโ to a very small audience. Even now, with better art, I still post to a very small audience (actually, I think my active audience now is even smaller than it was when I was like 15-16 lmao)
Itโs like, entitlement. I know this bc I grew through this exact phase, looking at artists my age who were bigger than me, getting attention I thought I โdeservedโ more than them, so on. Yet here I am, persisting regardless, still making art and posting โpoor performingโ art like a decade later
Here you go! I hope this one catches on a little too!
Here I have the recipe for the perfect fat boy.
