Trump-Musk’s mistake could be replacing bureaucracy with centralized executive control, which reduces democratic safeguards.
Cons:
Mass gov layoffs could cripple essential services.
Power shift to the exec branch—more policy decisions controlled by the pres and appointees.
Privatization risk—less transparency.
Deregulation effects—cutting staff at regulatory agencies could weaken protections for health, finance, etc.
Trump-Musk’s Government Downsizing.
Pros:
Could streamline decision-making by reducing bureaucratic roadblocks.
May lead to faster policy implementation without agency resistance.

Cons:

It seems the real danger with DOGE is unchecked power:
From what I understand:
Trump-Musk’s approach centralizes too much power in the exec branch, weakening agency oversight.
REGO had flaws, but it kept institutional structures in place while reducing waste.
So I weighed Pros v Cons:
Finally, I think WE can all say together, "Elon, don't wave like that." And if he continues, we can all denounce him.
It's that simple.
