911 calls capture kids burning with fever, struggling to breathe at ICE detention center EMS crews were called to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas at least 11 times since September for children in medical distress, records show.

weird that when testimony is limited to 45 minutes and there are oodles of people waiting to testify that somehow he is called -- again! Also weird that someone representing an astroturf anti-immigrant org was called. What are the odds??

They just passed the bill, meaning that they paid zero attention to the testimony, live or written.

"We are in an era when we rarely see the Federal government do something constitutional". Something tells me this legislator is not referring to the widespread 4th ammendment violations by the Trump admin.

And there's this talk about the need to "protect the people". No danger has been demonstrated to any extent in this hearing or the bill.

Bill sponsor giving this impassioned speech about how this bill is the "will of the people". The majority of Idahoans do not support ICE and think immigrants have a net positive benefit. Idahoans do not want this!

Noted anti-immigrant group in Idaho, that opposes *all* immigration on their website, is for this bill, of course.

he's actually spot on with his facts and dispelling misconceptions (he has not always been like that with the IDLEG). There are not "dangerous criminal illegal aliens" roaming the streets that local LEOs are unable to arrest

She's pretty selective about what questions are relevant and which are "out of order"

Idaho Sheriffs Association. He's bringing up legitimate points about the actual costs of this. The bill's fiscal note is typically "no fiscal impact", which is not true. Services don't just happen for free.

Donahue does not have a demonstrated concern for immigrants.
