We report: it is difficult to get rid of the damp these days, the way it has penetrated everything and everywhere around us. Our expertβs shoes hardly ever get to dry in between days of trodding through puddles and wet grass. It is not quite raining yet, this morning.

Text reads: The "Beetle Girls". A trio of 11-year-old girls that don't quite fit in with their peers. Their personalities would seem incongruous at first, but what they share in common is an avid appreciation of insects - more specifically, beetles. A drawing of three girls: on the left is Michelle, black girl with big round glasses, a hoodie and shorts held up by suspenders, with two long braids sprouting out a beanie that looks like a herculese beetle. In the middle is Jung-Hee, a chubby, stout korean girl with pigtails and bushy eyebrows in a simple graphic tee and cargo shorts. Text reads: The Beetle Heroes. Our trio of misfits is one day gifted the ability to transform into tokusatsu-esque heroes, in order to combat giant insect monsters that terrorise their city, the sudden appearances of whish have yet to be explained. Who gave them their powers? Where the heck do the giant bugs come from? Who knows! Those are answers they'll eventually find as they navigate their school lives and fight big bugs - without hurting them too bad, of course! Bugs deserve kindness, too. The image is a drawing of the girls in battle uniform, similar to the power rangers, based off their respective beetle species.
