I ran @USAID health programs for the last 3 years. Trump’s 90 day Stop Work Order on foreign assistance does serious damage to the world and the US. Examples:🧵

As chilling a meme as I have seen. But I agree.
During my first trip to Kenya 10+ years ago, I remember being welcomed into a voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) center by women who were reliant on PEPFAR for their ARVs. While not a perfect model, 20 mil people like these women will not have access to medicines they need. This is simply cruel.
