PM’s pragmatism on Trump’s Iran fury risks Australia following US into Operation Epic Fail | Zoe Daniels Anthony Albanese’s support for actions that do not adhere to international law stands in stark contrast to the principles demonstrated by Labor two decades ago

"I don’t need international law," the apex opportunist Donald Trump declared but the words of Simon Crean from 20 years ago still echo across Australia. #auspol www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

South Australian Liberal insiders fear for the party’s existence as polls point to an election catastrophe With party’s primary vote polling at just 14%, its predicament presents an intriguing case study for the rest of Australian politics

Disoriented, outgunned & bewildered. SA Liberals fear for existence at the 21 March state poll. Primary vote is about 14%, Ashton Hurn is the 4th leader in 4yrs & Alex Antic is eager to rule with his religious right. Perhaps 5 of the 47 seats. #savotes www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

View - Queensland Legislation - Queensland Government

In addition to the criminalisation of speech in Qld, the Crisafulli government added more hate symbols to the existing Nazi one. There's problems here as Professor Anne Twomey points out. See if you can recognise them all at first glance. #qldpol www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/html/as...

New Slogan and Symbol Bans in Queensland
New Slogan and Symbol Bans in Queensland YouTube video by Constitutional Clarion

Praise for Queenslanders from Professor Anne Twomey for pushing back on the Crisafulli government's criminalisation of speech. She sees uncertainty with the way they've banned hate symbols. Freedom of political expression now a High Court matter. #qldpol youtu.be/x9LsUDdgIUM

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson lands huge payday - realestate.com.au Pauline Hanson, who’s riding a fresh wave of popularity as One Nation leader, has secured a mega payday off a strategic move made during the pandemic.

No crisis of housing for property mogul Pauline Hanson. While Australians were battling covid-19 she was working on her portfolio. Now her 2 blocks of land Yeppoon in Qld are about to deliver payday on top of her decades worth of property investments. #auspol

SA Liberals to preference One Nation over ALP as Bernardi comments condemned South Australia's Liberal opposition will preference One Nation over Labor at the upcoming state election as parties condemn "outrageous" comments by One Nation's Cory Bernardi.

How-to-vote cards for the SA election have been finalised. Liberals recommend ONP above Labor in the ordering of preferences. ONP appear agnostic as to whom they recommend.

Remember, it's voters that make the preferential choice on the ballot. #savotes www.abc.net.au/news/2026-03...

The only way Bleijie will listen is if the Butchulla people become LNP donors. It's worked for Gina, it's worked for Adani, it's worked for the Zionists and with the Olympics coming up they have changed the rules to allow property developers to donate so they can award them contracts.

Cory Bernardi: I will accept the will of the people on same-sex marriage During heated debate with Penny Wong, the Liberal senator refuses to endorse a plebiscite, but says he will accept the outcome if it happens

I noticed Cory Bernardi is owning his 2013 bestiality comments ahead of the SA election.

In 2015 at the NPC with Penny Wong he denied he linked same-sex marriage with bestiality. #saparli www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Dingoes are alpha predators, part of our ecosystem and have been here for thousands of years. You can have tourism which respects their natural habitat but this scenario looks like a simple case of bad management.

It’s money over safety and their only response if to kill the dingoes. Cap visitor numbers and leave the dogs alone.

How dingo behaviour on K'gari changed in years before Piper James's death Piper James's tragic death is the third recorded fatality from a dingo attack in Australia. Here is a brief history of dingo management and interactions on K'gari.

The wongari killing. More than 500,000 people visit K'gari each year. The Butchulla people have been calling for caps for many years, including during breeding season when wongari dingoes are more aggressive. Jarrod Bleijie refuses to listen. #qldpol www.abc.net.au/news/2026-03...

LNP smashes 'break glass in case of emergency' box of distractions The government made a flurry of other policy announcements to distract from its 11th-hour changes to its hate speech laws, writes state political reporter Alex Brewster.

Jarrod Bleijie has ranted before in parliament but this week was a pulpit thumping, maniacal display in which he accused everyone of being antisemites. Labor initially agreed on the hate speech bill but by voting time, any goodwill was eroded. #qldpol www.abc.net.au/news/2026-03...

This is true. The only place to argue it out would be an international court of law. That would take many years.

The US sank an Iranian warship and didn’t rescue the survivors. Is this legal in war? These rules have developed over centuries as states sought to regulate the conduct of conflict at sea while still allowing navies to operate effectively.

The sinking of the IRIS Dena by the US is probably going to turn out to be legal. With the ship in international waters & under the law of naval warfare it was a lawful target. Difficult for subs to surface to render assistance so they can facilitate it.

As Australia becomes more integrated into the US military machine, can it avoid being dragged into war? The US-Israel war on Iran shows once again how deadly it is to be America’s enemy – but also how very hard it is to be its friend

The unpredictable, egotistical & muscular policy of a sui generis president surrounded by a mixture of sycophants & clowns. With AUKUS active & the sinking of the IRIS Dena, Australia is enmeshed with US military action. #auspol www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

If it had been NewsCorp it probably would have been dismissed with a national eye roll & forgotten. It was the long respected SMH & The Age, stables of Australian journalism for generations. Thankfully Nine's dire prediction of Australia & China at war on 7 March 2023 never came true. #auspol

A lone battle: Why is Pedro Sánchez the only European leader to take on Trump? As the Spanish PM decries the war in Iran, other politicians are unable – or unwilling – to speak against the US president

Donald Trump's support in Spain is 15.7%. The Spanish people were infuriated by the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Seeing their fellow Spanish speakers mistreated in America is doing no favours for the Trump regime. PM Pedro Sánchez has the support to say no. 🇪🇸

Gold Coast mayor says ratepayers did not fund Trump estate visit ABC News can reveal more details about the Gold Coast mayor's visit to Mar-a-Lago before a Trump Tower deal was inked.

"I was there as mayor of the city; that's a gift to the city, not to me". Tom Tate did it for you, Gold Coast. He drank expensive wine with Donald Trump & consumed tomahawks.
