But how you put the message across to those who prefer not to use their brain?

We have to get across that the ‘risk’ is on a par with being struck by a meteorite, it snowing in the Maldives or Elvis reappearing, I.e., an occurrence that normal folk would regard as no risk.

Well, it’s the answer, iMHO.

Everything in life is ‘a risk’, even inside our own front door, but we have to be sensible about what that risk is. Scaremongering and exaggerating helps no-one.

All women (trans and cis) face much greater risks from cis men, particulary cis men known to them.

Debunk:
The risk posed by trans women is miniscule. Crossing a busy street or driving 100 miles on a motorway pose far greater risks. In fact trans women face the same (or greater) risks when out in public than cis women and this myth makes that worse. …

Myth:
Trans people (particularly trans women) pose an equal al threat to cis women and this justifies banning trans women from female spaces.

Given 12 million children under 16 in the UK, that is 0.001% in any year or one in 60,000. So use of puberty blockers was VERY rare and a much more sensible assumption is that the children so prescribed were very likely to be only a small part of the trans group and …

And then myth two.

If you listen to the anti-trans brigade, you could be forgiven for thinking that puberty blockers were handed out like liquorice allsorts. In fact 2,000 cases over 20 years, is no more than 100 a year.

In fact when children are properly assessed for gender dysphoria, their gender identity is remarkably stable.

Lets start with myth one.

This nonsense is based on one poor study from long ago, which identified gender-questioning young children based on if they chose ‘pink’ or ‘blue’ clothing from a dressing-up box.

Myth One:

Most Trans children are in fact gay and if left alone by the awful folk who push gender transition on them would grow into happy gay people.

Myth Two:

Starting children on puberty blockers is an inevitable conveyer-belt to cross-sex hormones and gender transition.

She has been pumping out two particular myths about trans people which are essential to the false narrative being expounded by the hate charity from Tufton Street and I think it is important to debunk them as there will be renewed discussion of trans children in coming days.
