Happy West Virginia Day! It's a great day to be a Mountaineer wherever you may be.
Happy Stanley Cup Day Caniacs! 19 years has gone by fast...
Doug Legursky played O Line for the Steelers for a while maybe 10 years ago. Henry Dickerson played a little bit in the NBA in the 70s. To your point, not a lot of guys made it big out of high school but it's kinda cool that a few Beckley guys did.
As far as Woodrow basketball players in the 90s, Tamar Slay went to Marshall and played in the NBA Finals with the Nets, Gene Nabors played 2 years at LSU, Jamel Bradley played at South Carolina, Ryan Culicerto played for Lefty Driesell at JMU
Wasn't sure we'd get back to this point again, but the Canes are 9 down, 7 to go. #RaiseUp
πΆ Oh, we're half way there πΆ
Canes are 8 down, 8 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named #RaiseUp
Canes hold serve at home. 7 down, 9 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named #RaiseUp
Mr. Andersen with the shutout for the Canes. Six down, ten to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named #RaiseUp
Best defensive defenseman can score too. 5 down, 11 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named #RaiseUp
A little too on the nose to come out of a movie called The Thunderbolts into a lightning storm β‘π©οΈ
Crank up the Stryper, the Canes have vanquished the Devils. 4 down 12 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named
Svech hat trick = 3 down, 13 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named
2 down, 14 to go for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named π¨π¨
1 down, 15 to go for the Canes for the Big Shiny Trophy That Shall Not Be Named
I don't remember getting into a car with a flux capacitor but Brind'Amour and Stillman are on the ice for the Canes tonight
Silverada on stage at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh
Glad I finally got the chance to see @silverada.bsky.social play last night, really enjoyed the show. Thanks for playing Steak Night at the Prairie Rose.
Wish it could've gone longer but the State women's team had another great run. James, Rivers and Hayes were quite the senior class, gonna miss them. Zam Jones and Maddie Cox really stepped up tonight when their number was called. πΊπ
March Madness in the old barn ππΊ
There is a team playing basketball in Raleigh with jerseys that just say "State". I know of another team that should do that again.
R.I.P. ACC Tournament Friday. πͺ¦
Right now I should be knocking off work early, headed to the sports bar to eat fried foods, drink delightful beverages and watch all the ACC teams play (minus the Les Robinson Invitational loser). Yet another good thing ruined by money and greed.
Congrats to the Wolfpack women's basketball team for the ACC regular season title (that didn't used to be a thing?)
Looking forward to them winning a few more trophies this year. They are so much fun to watch when they get on a roll, we saw last year how far they can go when that happens πΊπ
Sad news about Michelle Trachtenberg, I was a huge Buffy fan back in the day and Eurotrip is an all-time guilty pleasure. RIP
Aziaha James, what a maneuver! However it ends up, this State v Notre Dame game has been such a great game. Two good teams just going at it.
If you took a drink every time these announcers mentioned a Tkachuk when they're not on the ice, your liver would be in rough shape
The key to the Canes blockbuster trade is obviously Nils Juntorp, who I confused with Taylor Swift's songwriting pseudonym Nils SjΓΆberg
Fun to see a lot of old familiar names back on the ice for the Hurricanes alumni team and a come from behind win for the cardiac Icepack πΊ
Rang in the new year with a glass of bourbon π₯ and Patsy Cline's greatest hits. Three song run of Crazy, I Fall To Pieces and So Wrong seemed appropriate
