Thank you! Yeah, the four coin design definitely limits the number of novel concepts you can convey. Which was a fun challenge but a lesson for any future games is to give ourselves more design space to expand into.

This was a really fun challenge, testing the limits of what information you can convey with just four coins 🪙
I'm really pleased with how these have turned out. Hopefully there will be some cool "ah ha!" moments for all the players.

Thanks Greg! We'd love to have another crack at it. It felt like we were always breaking new ground when trying to design this which is both exciting but very challenging. Would be great to try again with all the knowledge we gained.

The game is so good! I want a world where the KOTC-alike is as popular as the Roguelike. There are so many cool things to do with this (multiplayer, synchronous, asymmetric, social) kind of game architecture.
Not sure how I missed this. It's such a compliment that Greg thought King of the Castle was worth analysing with his class! I hope they found some good stuff in with the bad. This has prompted @spartridge.bsky.social and I to have a long chat about what we might've done differently (there's a lot).
