Pretty.
@miri2is
Coming to terms with the fact that while it was really cool to have follow backs from a few people I hold in high regard back in that other place, it doesn't really matter as I usually don't post anything anyway π¨π¦
Pretty.
Exactly!! Sheesh.
I just discovered Vinyl Cafe is on Spotify!!

If we adopted Wisconsin too, we'd have Lake Superior all to ourselves.
It was all done by the book. But the book wasnβt Mein Kampf.

I don't get it. Such a large proportion of Canadians are first generation immigrants (me) or 2nd generation, how could they be anti immigration?!
Attendees at the FIFA Peace Prize award ceremony report Trump's acceptance speech couldn't be heard over the sound of exploding fishing boats.
Wow!

Hi Bluesky π
Small life update: Iβm at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenneyβs UCP
It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history
Iβm ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you π§΅
I find it incredibly ironic that Pierre Poilievre is against DEI when the only reason he is in parliament is because he parachuted into a riding that a cadaver running as a conservative would win with 85% of the vote. It would be really nice for a journalist to mention that fact to him.
Great idea!!
Firearms were responsible for 20 percent of all child and teen deaths in the U.S. for both 2020 and 2021, compared to an average of less than 2 percent in similarly large and wealthy nations, according to a new KFF analysis. This puts the U.S. far ahead of peer nations in child and teen firearm deaths. Data show that U.S. firearm deaths for children and teens again surpassed motor vehicle deaths β the second leading cause of death β and that the increase has been primarily driven by gun assault deaths. On a per capita basis, the firearm mortality rate among children and teens in the U.S. is over 9.5 times the rate of Canada, the country with the second-highest child and teen firearm death rate. If firearm deaths in the U.S. had mirrored Canadaβs rates between 2010 and 2021, approximately 30,000 U.S. children and teenagers would still be alive.
If you think Tylenol is bad for childrenβs health, wait until you see what guns do.
Yes!
It's hard, but it will get easier with time. You'll be okay!
And with all the labels it's a pretty easy job!
Starbucksβ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.
This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.
Remember this before you order your next pumpkin spice latte.
Sigh. Why?
Woke up today wondering about how LLMs and AI agents are changing Wikipedia β what was once the bastion of crowd sourced, collaborative (human) knowledge creation.

A child in the US faces higher death risks than other high income countries. Widespread guns are one, increased vaccine restrictions and hesitancy are another, and barriers to equal healthcare access are another.
How a country looks after its children tells us a lot about its values.
I am powerless to make the internet better but I can absolutely make it worse
Okay, so we won't stop :)
