When I was an OB/GYN resident I regularly used the CDC medical eligibility criteria (MEC) for contraception to prescribe birth control safely. That resource has been removed form the CDC website by the administration. This will make birth control care less evidence based and less safe.

Half of OB/GYNs in Massachusetts don’t feel they have sufficient training in medication abortion. Sufficient training is associated with providing abortion and evidence based miscarriage care. Read our article here @contraceptionjl.bsky.social
